During the creation of the performance Three Rooms / ثالث غرف, the changing political climate in Turkey and Europe meant than none of the theatre-makers were able to be
in the same physical place at the same time. Replacing each other was not an option, and instead of doing this, the makers experimented with ways of working that allowed them to overcome these limitations. Three Rooms / ثالث غرف allows this situation to determine the form of the work and thereby asks itself: what is the importance of physical presence
in a world where immobility and closed borders are the new reality? And what are the distances that modern technology will never manage to bridge?
